2017 Record: 80-82 (3rd in AL East)

The Tampa Bay Rays parted ways with Evan Longoria with a trade to the San Francisco Giants. The Rays weren’t done dealing, though. Jake Odorizzi was shipped to Minnesota while Corey Dickerson was traded to the Pirates for Daniel Hudson and prospects in the offseason. Brent Honeywell and Jose De Leon are already on the shelf for the Rays because Tommy John Surgery. Without those two young arms, the Rays will be scraping the bottom of the barrel for starting pitching depth, but there is young talent throughout the lineup.
