1. Chasing the bad pitch. Hitters have chased 154 of Tanner Roark’s 376 off-speed pitches out of the zone (chase rate of 41.0 percent) since the All-Star Break, 16th most in MLB (League Avg: 34.1 percent).

2. Find the fastball. Jake Arrieta allowed a slugging percentage of 1.040 (26 total bases/25 ABs) on fastballs over the last 30 days of the regular season, second worst among starters (League Avg: .472).

3. The wheels need to start turning. Trea Turner stole 46 bases in limited time this season, third best in baseball. He has yet to reach base in the series through three games.

4. Calm Contreras. Wilson Contreras drew nine walks in 32 PAs (28.1 percent) versus starting pitchers over the last 30 days of the regular season, best among part-time hitters (League Avg: 8.0 percent).

5. Reaching base rare on the road. Nationals hitters had an OBP of just .292 on the road since the All-Star Break, second worst among 30 teams (League Avg: .317).
