Doug Baldwin (SEA) has a chance to rack up a lot of receiving yards in week 1

The Kansas City offense decimated New England’s defense in the first game of the NFL season. Kareem Hunt was the best player on the field and racked up over 40 fantasy points in his first taste of the NFL. With the help of Remarkable! we found some potential big performers to put in your lineup this weekend.

  • Zach Ertz (PHI) had 816 receiving yards last season (NFL Rank: 5th among TEs). Philadelphia will face Washington, which allowed 1,119 receiving yards to TE last season (NFL Rank: third most).
  • Sam Bradford (MIN) had a passer rating of 99.3 last season (NFL Rank: 6th among qualified QBs). Minnesota will face New Orleans, which has a defensive passer rating of 98.0 last season (NFL Rank: 29th of 32).
  • Amari Cooper (OAK) had 1,153 receiving yards last season (NFL Rank: 8th among WRs). Oakland will face Tennessee, which allowed 3,018 receiving yards to WR last season (NFL Rank: most).
  • Michael Crabtree (OAK) was targeted 22 times in the Red Zone last season (NFL Rank: 5th among WRs). Oakland will face Tennessee, who allowed 13 receiving touchdowns to WRs in the Red Zone last season (NFL Rank: 6th of 32).
  • Ben Roethlisberger (PIT) threw 29 passing touchdowns last season (NFL Rank: 6th among QBs). Pittsburgh will face Cleveland, which allowed a defensive passer rating of 101.8 last season (NFL Rank: 31st of 32).
  • Doug Baldwin (SEA) had 1,128 receiving yards last season (NFL Rank: 11th among WRs). Seattle will face Green Bay, which allowed 3,017 receiving yards to WR last season (NFL Rank: second most).
  • Duke Johnson (CLE) was targeted 74 times last season (NFL Rank: 4th among RBs). Cleveland will face Pittsburgh, who allowed 778 receiving yards to RBs last season (NFL Rank: third most).
  • Jason Witten (DAL) had 673 receiving yards last season (NFL Rank: 11th among TEs). Dallas will face New York, which allowed 1,052 receiving yards to TE last season (NFL Rank: fourth most).
  • Latavius Murray (MIN) had 11 rushing touchdowns in the Red Zone last season (NFL Rank: 4th among RBs). Minnesota will face New Orleans, who have allowed 14 rushing touchdowns in the Red Zone last season (NFL Rank: 5th of 32).
  • Jonathan Stewart (CAR) averaged a TD every 24.2 carries last season (NFL Rank: 9th among qualified RBs). Carolina will face San Francisco, which allowed an touchdown every just 19.0 carries last season (NFL Rank: 32nd of 32).
Carson Palmer (ARI) threw for 4233 passing yards last season (NFL Rank: ninth most among QBs). Arizona will face a Detroit defense which allowed a passer rating of 105.8 last season (NFL Rank: worst of 32).
  • Le’Veon Bell (PIT) scored 20.2 fantasy points per game last season (NFL Rank: second best among RBs). He will face a Cleveland defense that allowed 15.9 fantasy points to its opponent’s top scoring RB each game last season — fourth worst in the league (League Avg: 13.1).
  • LeGarrette Blount (PHI) had 16 rushing touchdowns in the Red Zone last season (NFL Rank: 1st among RBs). Philadelphia will face Washington, who allowed just 16 rushing touchdowns in the Red Zone last season (NFL Rank: 3rd most of 32).
  • Golden Tate (DET) had 1,077 receiving yards last season (NFL Rank: 14th among WRs). Detroit will face Arizona, which allowed 2,934 receiving yards to WR last season (NFL Rank: fourth most).

This last one is interesting because the Arizona Cardinals defense gave up the 5th fewest receiving yards overall, but the 4th most against wide receivers. It might not be the best matchup for Matthew Stafford, but Remarkable! finds the wide receiver matchups, like Tate, in favor of the Detroit Lions.
